Intro to Embodied Leadership, Lesson 2: Commit To Becoming A Fully Resourced Human, Polyvagal Theory & The B.A.S.I.C Method
Life calls on us to grow. If we want to become better leaders, we must learn to lead ourselves. What a cliche! If you are like me, no one taught you that your ability to respond to life's challenges and to be your best depends on the functions of your autonomic nervous system.
In this live and recorded lesson, we will introduce the B.A.S.I.C method and an intro to Polyvagal Theory from which it was derived.
This lesson will open with six guiding questions:
What does it mean to become a fully resourced human?
Intro to noticing protective parts & accessing qualities of Self
Intro to Polyvagal Theory & the functions of the nervous system
How does each step of the B.A.S.I.C method relate to our training?
3 examples of lesson two at play in our life, work, and relationships
The three most important questions to master.
You will leave this training with a five-step framework for engaging with and understanding the practices we will perform throughout our training. This five-step framework will help you transform intention into action so you can lead yourself and others.
